About Penn Prime Farms
How We Started
Penn Prime Farms began when a local Amish farmer approached me for help selling his meat. At the time, I owned a local restaurant, and my son regularly drove the farmer and his family to work.
If you're not familiar with the Amish, I can tell you—they are some of the kindest, most knowledgeable people I've ever met, especially when it comes to agriculture. Due to their community's guidelines, they aren't permitted to advertise directly, so they rely on trusted outsiders to promote their products.
As word spread, we began partnering with other small farms and an amazing local processor. These are multi-generational, family-run operations—many with over 30 years of experience, and one dating all the way back to the 1800s.
Penn Prime Farms
Penn Prime Farms is really a co-op that helps small and local farmers reach the market. Let me assure you that small farmers do not have the time or ability to dedicate to marketing. These farms give you high-quality products, care for the land and animals, and give you the choice of how your food is produced. Farmland is disappearing at an alarming rate. Help them to help you keep this choice. Once the farms are gone, they will be gone forever. We will do everything we can to assure you that you get the highest quality and service, and we only work with local farmers who care for the land and animals in an ethical manner. Additionally, the animals will be treated with care from the very beginning to the very end. That care translates to excellence for you and your family.
Processors
Processing takes place at small, USDA-inspected plants close to they farms so that transport of the animals is kept to a minimum. They are clean, relaxed, and professional, and the packaging is excellent. The great part is that they can provide any cut of meat you may be looking for. Normally, we will have the most popular cuts that customers expect, but if you are looking for something in particular, just ask. It may take some time, but it is something that we can and will do.
If you want a quarter, half, or whole animal, we can do that as well and cut to your specifications.

Penn Prime Farms offers shipping, covering a roughly five-hour drive radius including Washington D.C., Baltimore, New York City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and other local cities. We deliver fresh, high-quality meat directly to your doorstep, ensuring convenience and quality with every order.
